ESL TEACHER
We have immediate FT and PT opportunities for Adult ESL Teachers in our Midtown Manhattan, Queens- Jackson Heights and Flushing , and West New York, NJ campuses.
Responsibilities include:
• Preparing lesson plans and instructing adults in various ESL courses
• Monitoring adult student performance
• Advising adult students on progress
• Administering written and oral exams
• Taking adult student attendance
• Grading adult student exams
• Other duties as directed
Requirements (Candidates must have):
• BA in Education,English, Communication, or a related field
• 1 year experience teaching ESL to adults in a classroom setting (tutoring and volunteer work
does not meet this requirement)
• Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) a plus
